All Vendors should read the Lewis First Monday rules and share them with helpers, partners, and family members who will be attending the market. It is the responsibility of the vendor who rents the space to ensure that all helpers, assistants, and family members are familiar with and follow all vendor policies and guidelines.
- All vendors are expected to follow vendor policies as well as pertinent local, state, and federal laws and ordinances.
- All vendor spaces belong to the owners of Lewis First Monday. Vendors are required to set up each month. No other vendor may set up in your space. You may miss only once during a 12-month period. Rent must be paid to guarantee space for the following month. Vendors must notify the office as soon as possible if unable to attend.
- Vendors can not add to or change what is sold without prior approval from management.
- Vendors must have a current Texas Sales Tax permit to sell at this market. To obtain one, click here or call (800) 252-5555.

Vendor Parking Passes
- Vendors will be issued a colored vendor tag each month.
- Vendor tags must be displayed in vendor’s vehicle
- Arbor vendors will enter through the City of Canton gates.

- Breakdown on Sunday should not occur until after 3

- Thursday - Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

- No cars in Arbors until after 6 p.m. on Sunday

Retaining a Space
To retain your space, make a payment for the next market (check or money order) by Friday after the current market. Include the space number with the payment. Include a self-addressed stamped envelope for the office to return vendor passes.
- There are no refunds on reserved spaces.
Leaving the Market
- Vendors should leave their spaces clean and free from trash. Vendors should remove plastic ties, trash boxes, etc, and take them with them or deposit them in a trash receptacle or take to the dumpster.
- All vendor merchandise, vehicles, trailers, RVs, and trash must be removed from the grounds by noon on the Monday after the market.
Promoting your booth & Customer Service
To be successful, vendors must have the right product at the right price and be able to promote their products through social media and customer service.
- Vendors are encouraged to use social media to inform customers and contacts of the dates of the upcoming market
- It is helpful for vendors to advertise sales and display pictures of merchandise of social media
- Shoppers crave personal customer service and vendors who greet and engage with customers will most likely experience better sales.
Miscellaneous
- Only Food Vendors may sell food or drink.
- All selling must occur from a vendor’s rented space.
- A vendor’s behavior within a rented space may not interfere with his neighbor’s ability to market his products.
- Vendors may not sublease their space to another vendor.
- Vendors who leave merchandise in their space unattended do so at their own risk.
- Due to concerns with overloading circuits, electric heaters, and compressor-type AC units may not be operated in the booths. Propane heaters, fans, and "swamp coolers" are allowed.
- Lewis First Monday and its owners are not liable for any injury or any losses of property throughout the market caused by theft, fire, calamitous weather, accidents, or fraudulent behavior
- Remember: 3” of rain in 3 hours or less will most likely cause 3’ of water on the First Monday grounds. Ensure your merchandise is safe during strong rains.
